Canine Massage is gaining recognition, and why not? As any human who’s experienced the healing benefits of massage knows, a good practitioner can reduce pain, discomfort and anxiety. While our dogs don’t share the same worries we do (about climate change, for example) – they are still made of the same muscular/skeletal framework, and they can receive the same beneficial results.
We have been helping our All-Star Walker, Jessica Miracola, complete her certification at the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. Their Small Animal Program is a rigorous, 7 month intensive which includes courses in Small Animal Anatomy & Physiology, Animal Health / Bio-Security, Species and Breeds, Animal Massage Techniques, Animal First Aid / CPR, Passive Range of Motion, and Intro to Biomechanics. Jessica is due to graduate this Fall, and in 2015 will be offering her expert care and loving Massage services to the pets of NYC. She will be offering discounted sessions to all ProspectBArk and RiversideBArk clients!
As a part of her program Internship, Jessica is offering a limited number of FREE, comprehensive Canine Massage sessions to our clients. The total time for each session will be about an hour; actual hands-on time will vary with the individual dogs and what they need. If you are interested in booking a session for your pup, please fill out the form below and we will get back to you ASAP.
