About me:I've completed the Animal Rescue League of Boston "Canine Companion" training and am an active volunteer at local animal shelters. I also happily walk and care for several dogs (and other pets) for family & friends. My own pets have included Toby the hamster, Blossom and Bubbles (fancy rats), and Vasha the hedgehog. I enjoy running, too, and often take some of my more energetic dogs with me. Among my three closest friends are former shelter doggies: Harriet the Hound, Yogi the Jack Russell Mix, and Maggie the King Charles/Border Collie.
When I'm not spending time with animals, I teach and tutor children in math, bake treats for humans and doggies, and participate in live performances with Kaiju Big Battel.
"My dog Yogi is very shy and skittish around new people. Amy was very patient with him until he grew comfortable with her. She's very responsible and one of the few people I would trust to take care of Yogi. She's also completed trainings at local animal shelters and has volunteered at numerous dog benefit events. She once told me that instead of kids she wants dogs...she is a true animal lover!" Irene
"There are several things that set Amy apart from other dog walkers. First, after taking Harriet for a walk, Amy makes sure to keep me informed as to her social activity as well as any abnormalities in Harriet's bathroom rituals. It may seem silly, but a dog's poop is a direct result of his/her health. I feel comfortable knowing Amy keeps on top of this.
Overall, Amy is a fantastic caretaker. Her love for dogs is very apparent in her interaction with them as well as her volunteer work in the community. Having Amy as a friend, for both Harriet and me, is truly a blessing."
