Tina Wheelis, ProspectBArk Assistant Manager!

"I've never met a pup I didn't love."

Neighborhoods: Windsor Terrace, Kensington, South Slope, Ditmas, Prospect Lefferts Gardens

About me: As a child, I was the kid who always brought home stray cats and begged my parents for a dog. As I got older I focused my energy on my creative side and studied art in school. In 2008 I was offered an opportunity to move from Florida to Boston and work for a dogwalking company. Being from a town where dogwalkers don't exist, I never imagined it could lead to a full time job and career. I assumed I would do it for six months or so while I pursue a more creative job in Boston. I immediately fell in love with all my four legged friends. Before I knew it five years passed and I was still in love with my job.

Being a dog walker is the most satisfying experience I've ever had. So when I decided to move to Brooklyn I knew I wanted to continue working with pets and joined ProspectBArk!

Favorite Dog Breed: I've never met a pup I didn't love but I am partial to parson Russell and jack Russell terriers.

When I'm not with other peoples' animals I can be found sketching, painting, or at my sewing machine. I also enjoy regularly visiting museums, live music, and sitting at home watching a good sci-fi series.

Comments about Tina:

"(Tina) was willing to meet us last-minute and early in the morning (9am) the DAY we were leaving! She was prompt and asked all the right questions. With only 1 set of keys in our possession-another story-to our new apartment, Tina was our lifeline to the place, and the only way in to care for our guy. She put us so at ease that he would be in good hands for the 8 days we were gone.

We received an email after every visit (as "obsessive parent-owners", this was amazing) with updates about his shyness and eating and playing habits. The day we got back, Tina met us out in front of OUR building as we returned (again, only one set of keys.). We will use ProspectBArk every time we head out of town. Tina gave us such peace of mind."

"Tina is wonderful. I know my pup, Pig is in good hands with her. Here's why:

- She sends updates and photos after every walk, and is super responsive to my crazy dog-mom texts.
- She's so thoughtful. When Pig had a minor foot injury, Tina walked her solo and spent extra time keeping her company inside since she wasn't supposed to walk around in the snow for too long.
- She's never been late/forgotten to show up/lost my keys/lost my dog/etc. Only good things!
- She is a great photographer! The daily photos from their walks are always hilarious and brighten my afternoon.
- Pig absolutely adores her."
